Pickle Fork No. 1.
A long yellow handled (faux ?) bone antique pickle fork, hallmarked HW Ltd EPNS
Henry Wilkinson Ltd - the Sheffield company was incorporated circa 1872 and liquidated in 1892.
The long handled pickle fork measures 8.5" (22.5 cm)
Pickle Fork No. 2.
A barley twist handled celluloid faux bone antique silver plate pickle fork, hallmarked TW (Outstretched bird) & S.
Thomas Wilkinson & Son - the first record of this company was in 1822. The company presented Queen Victoria with a pair of filed and enameled decorative scissors in 1838, and received a Royal Warrant from Queen Victoria and Prince Albert on 16th October 1840. Thomas Wilkinson & Sons won a medal for their display of scissors at the Great Exhibition in 1851. In 1875 that the scissor making company William Whiteley & Sons acquired the business; William Whiteley is still manufacturing scissors today.
