Chateau de Bourbet

  • August Holidays

I am rather late with this month’s blog as August is nearly over. My excuse, I have been holidaying!  My husband and I had a lovely long weekend away in Blakeney, a charming coastal village in North Norfolk. On one of the days we took a lovely coastal walk to Morston Quay and went on a boat trip to Blakeney Point to see the seals. On our last day we had a gorgeous meal at The Pigs at Edgefield Holt, definitely worth a visit.

We have also had some time away in the Dordogne France and enjoyed some amazing weather of glorious sunshine. We stayed in a beautiful Chateau offering Bed & Breakfast, Chateau du Bourbet, steeped in history and located in stunning French countryside near Cherval. We took a trip to Brantome, a picturesque village set on the banks of the River Dronne. We even stumbled upon a very large Brocante. This is when I wished we had our own car. Sadly we couldn’t buy as we came with carry on luggage on a flight from Bergerac. Never mind, we will just have to go back.

    Now back to work.....
