One Big Holiday

I hope everyone has enjoyed the beautiful summer, the lovely hot days and long evenings.

I have certainly packed a lot in.  Starting with our village Fete back in June, the beautiful sunshine helped bring the people out and £6,500 was successfully raised. Later that month, a visit to the Isle of Wight, with my husband, to see family and friends which also included a visit to Queen Victoria's fabulous summer home, Osborne House.  Plus enjoying a fabulous meal at Thompson's in Newport IoW; where the owner and chef, Robert Thompson, was in 2007 the youngest chef to be awarded a Michelin Star.

I've also been out and about along the Essex coast, with day trips to Felixstowe, Frinton on Sea and Walton on the Naze. Plus another long weekend away to St Leonard's on Sea staying with a longstanding friend and visiting the Firle Antique & Vintage Fair on the South Downs which was lovely and great to Ever & Ava a local trader from Wymondham.  Do visit her website and Esty shop for fabulous finds.

Other trips have included a weekend spa break to Champney's Tring, a long weekend in Blakeney Norfolk with a trip to Holkham Hall. A day out to Anglesey Abbey, Cambridge and I even managed to get to go Cambridge punting twice. Plus enjoying our friends' lovely idyllic summer wedding.

Anyway, I'm still squeezing every last drop out of summer.
